Mr. Bush's love of the Sea began at an early age, when, at the age of 10 took a one year voyage aboard his father's 40 foot Ketch "Dubloon" to Acapulco, Mexico. At that time, his father published a cruising guide entitled "Paradise to Leeward". Since those days, most of Mr. Bush's life have been dedicated to capturing the beauty of the Pacific Coast in Watercolor. After studying under Chris Keylock and Norman Duke and fifteen Years of painting, he states that his mentors have been Irving Shapiro, John Pike, Tony Couch, Tom Lynch, and Alistair Butt. Lately, after showing his works in eleven different Galleries from LaConner, Washington to Crescent City, California, as well as the Saturday and Sunday Markets in Ilwaco, Washington and Astoria, Oregon, he continues to conduct Workshops and Plein-Aire Painting from his residence in Seaside, Oregon.
